Garmin generally provides feature updates for a year or two, and bug fixes for quite a few years (the forerunner 235 which is a 2015 release got a software update earlier this year, for example.) I haven't noticed any significant battery issues, but i imagine they do degrade over time like all rechargable batteries.
Some of the concerning about replacing battery are the watch would not be water proof anymore, because when i opened the watch, I destroyed the seal. And, I am not sure if the battery is glued on or not. If so, any tips that I can take it out easily without damaging the circuit board. 2. Fitness and Nutrition.
